چکیده
A numerical method based on smoothed particle hydrodynamics with adaptive spatial resolution (SPH-ASR) was developed for simulating free surface flows. This can reduce the computational demands while maintaining accuracy. In this method, changes adaptively according to distance by splitting and merging. The particles are split refinement when they near surface, merged coarsening away from surface. search algorithm implemented identifying at shifting technique, considering variable smoothing length, introduced improve distribution. presented SPH-ASR validated various flows, results were compared those obtained using SPH uniform (USR) experimental data.

Incompressible smoothed particle hydrodynamics simulations on free surface flows
The water wave generation by wave paddle and a freely falling rigid body are examined by using an Incompressible Smoothed Particle Hydrodynamics (ISPH). In the current ISPH method, the pressure was evaluated by solving pressure Poisson equation using a semi-implicit algorithm based on the projection scheme and the source term of pressure Poisson equation contains both of divergence free ve...

متن کاملModelling free surface flows with smoothed particle hydrodynamics
In this paper the method of Smoothed Particle Hydrodynamics (SPH) is extended to include an adaptive density kernel estimation (ADKE) procedure. It is shown that for a van der Waals (vdW) fluid, this method can be used to deal with free-surface phenomena without difficulties. In particular, arbitrary moving boundaries can be easily handled because surface tension is effectively simulated by the...

متن کاملSimulation of Cold Rolling Process Using Smoothed Particle Hydrodynamics (SPH)
Regarding the reported capabilities and the simplifications of the smoothed particle hydrodynamics (SPH) method, as a mesh-free technique in numerical simulations of the deformation processes, a 2-D approach on cold rolling process was provided. Using and examining SPH on rolling process not only caused some minor developments on SPH techniques but revealed some physical realities. The chosen t...
